She is then thrust into a life of Vampires, Werewolves and Sexy Nephilim Warriors.

Excerpt:
“Let’s spar, Torch.” I faced him with determination.

He threw his head back and laughed. “You think you’re strong enough to take me on now, do you?”

I knew I wasn’t stronger than he, but in learning to control my flame, I had gained the knowledge that I was faster. The warrior inside the flame gave me confidence as she became one with me.

“You’re not afraid, are you?” I winked at him and then walked over to the wall, taking two sparring sticks off the rack, and tossed one to Torch. I sauntered back over to him, swaying my hips.

I was becoming a confident woman a force to be reckoned with. Before he could respond, I attacked, setting up high before striking low with my rod. This was my first mistake. I should have waited for him to advance first, since he was bigger and stronger.

He deflected, attempting to take my legs out from under me, so I jumped high, my feet
almost reaching the top of his head before he landed a blow to my back. Pain radiated
down my spine, but I took it in; it was fuel to my fire.

I kept in mind the three basic rules of fighting: release energy, reserve energy, and regenerate energy. I roundhouse kicked and he stumbled backwards. I smiled. We fought for what felt like half an hour before he finally pinned me to the mat. I promptly pushed my breasts into his chest and moaned. As he pulled back, looking startled, I slowly reached down and unsheathed the dagger that I had strapped to the inside of my thigh then ran the hilt of the dagger across his neck.

“Dead,” I laughed as he rose off me. “Never underestimate the power of boobs, Torch.”

Review:
Annabelle Wilkins thought she had a normal life. Living comfortably in the southern suburbs with Joe, her husband of ten years. Everything about her life changes the moment he dies and she is thrust into a world she could have never guessed even existed. After learning that Joe's death was no accident and there are many secrets surrounding both who and what she is, Anna is going to have to get her head around more than one completely unfathomable facts. Drawn to a dark stranger and uncovering secrets that shake her world to it's core, can Anna not only accept what is going on around her but step up to the plate and save it? Find out in Prophecy of the Female Warrior!

Anna, to me, embodied the perfect female lead. She grew from the first page to the last, going from weak and naive to one hell of a kick ass chick by the end. Although I thought she may have taken the whole Nephilim/supernatural world exists thing very easily, when she did find out what she was, she went all Rocky Balboa and trained insanely hard. All of a sudden she had this confidence about her that you could read clearly through the pages. Even her feelings about Eli are something that was the best of both worlds. You could see just how great the pull towards him was but she still kept a level head about her feelings for the most part throughout the story. That enabled the story to develop more instead of just being an instant happily ever after kind of love story. I love that, it made it interesting and it let the reader get to know the characters before we passed judgment about who belongs with who.

Another part of the story I really loved was the world in which it took place. The whole Nephilim race was explained nicely and was fascinating as both a lore and the current situations going on within the race. Then you add all the other races that we talked about and it really took it to another level of awesome. It led to obviously big plot twists with Dan and Nyoka and allowed the world to expand.  I wish we had gotten to know more about how these different races interact and what this means for Anna but with the ending the way it was...I have a feeling we will find out more in the next one, which I can't wait to pick up!- My Opinion- Buy it!

Check out the other two books in the series as well!!
