Ever since her sixteenth birthday, strange things keep happening to Seraphina Parrish. Unexplainable premonitions catapult her to faraway cities. A street gang wants to kill her, and a beautiful, mysterious boy stalks her.

But when Sera moves to Chicago, and her aunt reveals their family connection to a centuries old, secret society, she’s immediately thrust into an unbelievable fantasy world, leading her on a quest to unravel the mysteries that plague her. In the end, their meanings crash into an epic struggle of loyalty and betrayal, and she’ll be forced to choose between the boy who has stolen her heart and the thing she desires most.

Review:
Here we go again with the Timey Whimey. Wander Dust at first glance will never show you where you will go while reading this book. What I thought I was going to read about was nothing like it turned out to be and I loved that! If you're looking for a book that is different, entertaining and has a hint of whimsy and magic, you are absolutely in the right place. Seraphina Parrish will take you on a journey of typical teenage girl mixed with some dramatic secret society and time travel mischief.

Sera herself was a great character. She was smart and witty at the same time as being a normal teenage girl which worked for the story. She resisted this idea of time travel and weird things happening to her, which any normal person would, and I liked that because it seemed appropriate. Her romance didn't happen instantly and built slowly throughout the book which I wish existed in more books instead of the sappy insta-love that has permeated the market. Sera was the one that initiated that kind of story building as a character so it would have ended really badly as a book if she had failed as the lead, and she excelled in it.

Taking into account that the main character succeeded, the rest of the story fell into place behind Sera. I thought the whole idea of her as child moving all these different places and then finally finding this fixed location that is sort of off the map was awesome. As with most time travel and fantasy books it takes a while to get to the heart of the story, and for good reason. There is so much set up to be done and characters to dress and logistics of story lines that it can be difficult to read through the first half of the book not really sure where you going, but I encourage you to push through because after all the mystery is revealed the story really takes off from there! I am really excited to find out where everything is going from this launching point, but I had a great time going on this adventure with her and really recommend this to anyone looking for a story that will take you along for a ride.- My Opinion- Buy it!
