Blurb:
How far would you go to destroy yourself?

Krishani always knew he would have to go to the Lands of Men, but he never thought it would be like this. Enemies everywhere, an ancestor he can't respect, elders he can't trust, a curse he can't stop and friends he can't help but hate. Desperate to end the pain, he sets out on a quest to find the other Flames and face the enemy that took everything from him.

Blurb:
This is JUSTICE from the villain's POV.

The Daed are pawns to one of the most powerful members of the Valtanyana. Crestaos is insane, his hunger for the Flames insatiable. The closer the Daed get to achieving his goal, the more expendable they become.

Playlist:
Justice has a theme song actually, as there were a lot of songs I was listening to in 2010 when I wrote this book.

The theme song is Breathing by Wires by The Juliana Theory.

Lyrics from the song that pertain to Justice:

This is now your world, and you barely made it,
Did you think that it would cradle you until you were asleep forever?
Did you? Did you? Did you? Did you?
Did you? Did you? Did you? Did you?

Other songs:
Heavy in your arms by Florence + The Machine
Setting Sun by Eskimo Joe
Just Me by Tegan and Sara
Never Bloom Again by The Perishers
First Floor People by Barcelona
Winter Song by Sara Barielles
Angel by Sarah McLachlin
Do you believe me? by The Juliana Theory
Satyros by Faun

Rhiannon was kind enough to talk about her top 5 influences on her writing! Here are her answers:

Top 5 Biggest Influences on Your Writing

This is just going to be a big sob fest isn’t it?

1. Cassandra Clare

Before Cassie Clare’s books I was a baby author who thought she was doing everything wrong. I didn’t write in first person like Maggie Stiefvater and Lauren Oliver and Beth Revis so I must not be doing it right. Then I read City of Bones and fell in love and realized that I am doing it right. She was the first inspiration I had to keep going.

2. Maggie Stiefvater

I resisted reading Shiver for awhile due to the fair weathered reviews, but when I finally picked it up, it quickly became my favorite book of all time. Maggie has a way with words and beauty, something I haven’t seen in books before and it made me want to write more like her, with that same beauty she injected in Sam and Grace.

3. Tolkien

I think I’d be lying if I didn’t say that Tolkien wasn’t the one that had me interested in fantasy in the first place. I used to write short stories in vein of romance and horror (yeah way to be on two sides of the spectrum) and then I read The Hobbit in eighth grade and it made me fascinated with fantasy.

4. Sue Dawe

The only unicorn artist you need to know about. She’s amazing, and you probably know her work because it’s very popular. She read my first book in its baby stages and actually told me that I didn’t need to copy Tolkien to be original. I could be original without using the Tolkien dictionary to name things. I have to say that’s how Avristar was born!

5. Kevin J. Anderson

The first event I was a semi guest at. I had my table set up across from Kevin J. Anderson. Besides being at a con with Kevin J. Anderson, the coolest thing about that was what Kevin said to me, “you’re doing everything right.” I think those very simple words are what has made me embrace the indie publishing world and not look back.
