It was definitely not her week. Her uncle had been murdered, her life had been threatened, an old school friend had re-appeared, she had two body guards and a new home. Elizabeth L'Emery was not having a good time as the new owner and chief executive of the largest fabric manufacturer on Xa'an.

Randall Storm had missed his best friend from school, but he had so many secrets that staying away from her had seemed to be the only solution to keep her safe from the uncontrollable lust for blood of his dragon half. But when he was assigned to her protection detail, he didn’t want to be anywhere else.

As they search for ways to control his magic that didn't enslave him - and didn't kill her - more threats came to try and pull them apart. When the opportunity arises to put a weapon of incredible power into her hands, Elizabeth has to decide if the violence of the blood ritual would be worth the sacrifice of becoming the Keeper of the Dragon Sword.

Review:

I must say I was taken by surprise while reading Keeper of the Dragon Sword.

I expected a fantastic tale of lords and ladies with the majestic dragon being thrown in there. I got all of that, but also so much more. There is a nicely balanced Sci-Fi side to the story with futuristic computers and different alien races combined with the fantasy to really make a remarkable story.

We meet Elizabeth in the most alarming of periods of her life. Her father and Uncle are murdered and her husband is accused of placing hits on them to gain control of their company through forged documents. Of course, he can't get anything with her alive so the next hit was on her. Enter Randall, the sexy cop from her childhood memories that is there to protect her from whatever is going to happen next but the pull they feel towards each other is more than either can resist for long...

I'm not going to give anything away but the coolest part of the book was the world around Elizabeth and Randall along with their own "dragon halves", the literal dragon and dragon mare that live within them and on their skin in the form of a tattoo. (Including a hilarious scene where Elizabeth's tries to bite him!) Between figuring out what they feel for each other and keeping her alive, they have quite the action packed story, but the world makes it even better! We are on a different planet, which can be disorienting at first getting used to terms and settings, but after a while it's more fascinating with all the technology running around and the way people live.

At first, I had a problem connecting with Elizabeth and Randall, but as they developed over the course of the story, I warmed up to them immensely. If I had to pick one reason for you to read this book it would that it is simply interesting. The entire book will take you on a journey far, far away and give you a love story that will stay with you for a long time.- My Opinion: Buy it!
